hi - i'm a theory teacher and I'm making up a mock exam problem for my students. On page 1 I want to have a 16-bar piano composition. The first 4 bars are given, but the remaining 12 bars of the piece has to be completed by the student. I want to provide them with staff lines for the remaining 12 bars (4 bars per line), but nothing else, so they have to print the file and then add their own barlines, braces, clefs and key signatures as well as the actual notes.
On page 2 I want to have a sample solution, which will display everything.
Is there a way to create "regions" where you can hide elements such as those listed above? I'm thinking another way I could do this might be to create 4 staff lines. The problem on page 1 could use staffs 1 and 2, and the solution on page 2 could use staffs 3 and 4. Staffs could be hidden when not in use. Anyway just wondering what the best way to do this is. Thanks!

Without seeing what you actually have, my suggestion is to use a Staff Style for the hiding. Create a custom style and uncheck those items you don't want showing.

Can you then apply that style to a certain region? For example, could you apply your staff style to measures 10 - 15 of "Staff 1" in a 50-measure piece? Thanks.
