Is this confirmed ? Or is it limited to "Reason" ?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ReWire_(s ... _protocol)

Since the withdrawal of the Movie windows from Finale, the Rewire protocol was the recommended alternative for musicians who write for film.
I would be curious to hear what MakeMusic intends to do about this ?

Did anyone (outside of MM) actually recommend it as a way of working? By which I mean saying "yes, this is much better than having a window in Finale itself, with built-in time-code syncing".

I'd be surprised if most film-scorers haven't jumped ship already for notation apps that do this in-house.

I ment to say that, indeed, it is MM that recommended Rewire as the only alternative. Like many other users, I regretted the withdrawal of the Movie window. Why take some functionalities away from Finale ? Maybe they could have added Rewire support (which requires external software) without killing the Movie window provided within Finale.
We'll see what future will bring (Dorico doesn't support Rewire, if I am well informed).

No, but it does import video and have markers that sync to time.
