Use Special Tools Beam Extension tool Double click on one of the beam handles. A dialog box will appear allowing you to choose what beam you do or do not want to extend. Select just the 16th beam and drag it into place.

If all broken beams should have the same (longer) length:
Document menu > Document Options > Beams
Set a higher value for
Broken Beam Length
Document menu > Document Options > Beams
Set a higher value for
Broken Beam Length

Hi guys,
thanks for your replies.
Jetcopy - it was unknown option for me, thanks, but it works properly only where just one extended beam is present (in my case in the first beam for example). When two extended beams are present (eighth and sixteenth) your solution doesn´t work properly, try it.
Peter - I knew about this option. I want to extend only this particular beam.
thanks for your replies.

Misco,
We do not know the layout you need.
Hence it is difficult to help you.
An attached graphic (perhaps a scanning of the original manuscript) might help us understand.
One of the questions is:
- How long should the “beam stub” be?
Take a look at the two attached files (Finale document & graphic).
Does this beam stub have the right length?

I suspect that {Extend Beams Over Rests} is also turned on in Misco’s Finale document.

If I understand Misco correctly, the problem is not with the 8th note beam (the primary beam), but rather with the 16th note broken beam (the secondary beam), or the “beam stub” as I called it.
Misco needs this particular broken beam (and only that one) to be longer than the other broken beams.
We do not (yet) know how long the broken beam should be, exactly.
But obviously Misco does not need it to be as long as the 8th note beam.

This can be done without the document options being set to extending secondary beams over barlines, if one does not want that setting in the rest of the document.

P.S.: I basically used Peter's method (V2). However, as an option, for those who don't need the Document Options setting for all Secondary beams, it can be done with an additional note. I put the Key in C to make it easier. When I turn off that option in Document Options, it doesn't allow the flag to beam across the rest. My extra note gives that option. I also muted the V2 notes so playback doesn't bump up the loudness for the 2 notes that have duplicates.
