When I teach Finale a new suffix it places the letters/numbers with distances that are totally meaningless (see attached file). How can I save time and not move every letter/number for every chord that have suffixes that are not already in the chord library of Finale? I am happy about the ability to fine-tune, but these distances doesn't make any sense!
Thank you

If the picture shows what happens automatically when adding a new suffix (when Finale prompts you to add it), it makes me think there is a setting that might be causing that. I don't get that result with the Default Document. Do you have a file we can examine for the cause?

When I change the font in Document Options and remove the Fixed Size selection, it enters in a more normal fashion. I believe that is the issue. If you need it to be Fixed Size, then you can edit the suffix after creating it. If, instead, you create the suffix first, and not through the method where the pop-up prompt asks you top, the fixed Size setting doesn't seem to affect create that unusual spacing.
