Condensing scores

How to place more than one voice on a single stave, otherwise known as condensing or conductor's score. Implode Music just doesn't cut the mustard.

Take a look at the plugin JW Staff Polyphony, at http://www.finaletips.nu/

Make sure you download the correct version, for your platform and Finale version.

Thank you for this suggestion. Don't usually think of myself as stupid, but I have this thing downloaded and available in Plugins but there doesn't seem to be any explanation as to how to use it.

Take a look at the plugin window, and you will see a number of broad categories. Clicking on one of them will give you a submenu, with more options, As you click on them, you should be able to figure out what each one will do. Note that you actually have to have something selected - staves, measures, etc. - to actually apply an action.

Yes indeed. I think the word is "duh". I didn't notice the arrows for the drop down menus. It seems to work nicely and certainly merits some exploration to ascertain its true scope and flexibility. Thanks again, Mike.
