I'm not sure what your question is. You circled chords with 5 notes. Your Topic says "Only getting 4 note polyphony". The circled chords have 5 notes. Are you only hearing 4 of the 5 notes? Maybe we need more information.

In the attached file, Chord Playback was disabled. Also, Chord Playback was set to a different channel in the Instrument List.
The poster has 2003 as the version of Finale. The posted file was created in 2010 with Finale 2003, but is now saved in v26.
I hear all 5 notes. I suppose the OP will clue us in on the actual issue. By the way, Piano 1 is the Instrument in the file, not Piano 3.

P.S.: I deleted everything from the file except that staff and those 4 measures. I then used the MIDI Tool to space out the start time of the 5 notes in each chord. I hear all 5 easily this way.

Hi and thanks all very much!
I just put in the serial # on Finale 26.3 on this Mac with Big Sur 11.2.3.
Whether I use MIDI or Audio Units I only get what sounds like 4 note polyphony
Thanks for suggesting chord playback disabled - thanks for trying the attached score! I really appreciate your help a lot!
I can't attach the aiff or mp3 audio. Should I upload somewhere and link to it?
Maybe I need to turn on something in MIDI or Audio on this computer? it is very new. I'm sure the answer will show up! Thanks again!

Zull I tried your test, the 2nd chord the 1st note doesn't sustain so I'm only getting like 6 note polyphony I think.. I'll try my other computers too, if I have to use my 2014 to get a good audio that may be a "patch" or "workaround" but I'm sure there is a way I can get lots and lots of polyphony, right?
Thanks so much to you all and for these forums, they are so great!

Hi all,
Sorry it took me a while to reply, after I solved it I went WAY FARTHER into other issues but it is all good now!
I can also see why other folks didn't get the same problem! The wavy line (glissando?) the rolled chord guy, it was set for 256 before and 256 after. First I turned it off and I think I heard the 6 note chord! Then I put it back but changed to 356 before to 356 after, it worked, then while telling my better half how I fixed it I went back to 256 before to 256 after, it's fine now! Some glitch maybe between all the versions of Finale? Anyway getting the 6 notes fine, off into having the guitar chords strum?
I'm rusty on all the help stuff, I remember it was really great from the ability to click a ? and including extensive help screens! I'll include these great forums! On to other challenges! Thanks to all helping!
