Hi all,
Just a heads-up regarding the fact that the American Society of Music Arrangers and Composers is presenting a zoom session featuring Elaine Gould, author of "Behind Bars" notation book. I am looking forward to tuning in

Wow, I really enjoyed that zoom session! Had to get out of bed pretty early to tune in where I am, but glad I did! Particularly fascinating were the discussions and photos about the writing (and printing/manufacturing) of Elaine’s book. I also really liked hearing the various perspectives on engraving/copying for the film, theatre, publishing and concert worlds, and also the chat about A4 paper and B4 paper and the struggles with fitting our music on the page.
I understand the recording of the zoom session will appear online in due course, for posterity. Recommended viewing

I was there, too. It was highly interesting to hear Elaine Gould as well as Emily Grishman and the others talking about music notation and how they think about it.

I think it was the longest zoom i've ever watched... over 3 hours without a break! But never a dull moment All the presenters were very generous with their time.
