Hi,

I have a problem with my PDF prints. Non-horizontal/vertical lines (like cresc, ties, vibrato waves etc) look absolutly horrendish.

Printed on paper, however, they look nice and neat. How do I get the same result on PDF? Right now, I use Microsoft to Print with 600 dpi, but even with a different printer up to 4200 dpi, it gave the same result.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Another question: does the printed pdf look better than the pdf viewed onscreen?

PDF is a vector format, so DPI shouldn't matter much, if at all.

Attached is a zipped PDF of some crescendi I made. It looks good with Adobe Reader on my screen. Try it and report.

They look the same as mine. Is it something do to with my screen settings?
I don't understand.

Check your Rendering settings in your Adobe Acrobat pdf viewer.

Yes, I have exactly the same settings.
Note that I only have those jumbled lines when I zoom out (Ctrl + L; full page view). When I zoom in it looks perfectly fine.

It wouldn't bother me as much if I wasn't trying to make a nice looking score video using screenshots of my PDF.
Maybe there's a better way to do this instead?

Is your screen display set to its default resolution?

Yes, I checked all that, too.
It also appears on other devices I checked, so I'm not sure whether it's problem with my settings.

The lines are smooth on my screen, so something's causing it.
