Articulation tool problem

I use Finale v. 25.5 for Mac and yesterdays when I needed to use the Articulation Tool to put a dot above a note, I saw that the 'dot' that was the first articulation in the table was gone. I checked all the table to see it it was in another position, but I didn't find it anymore. How can I recover the dot? Have I to create another one? How do I do this?
