Hi there
The 'Set Default' option in the Tuplet Definition dialog box of my Finale 2014 isn't working - it doesn't se current settings as default for the next one.
Anyone had this problem/know a fix?
Many thanks!

MisterMusicarta,

For me - with Finale v26 - the Tuplet Definition button ‘Set Default’ seems to work:
It predefines the default visual aspects.

My steps:

1) In the Tuplet Definition change the settings to (these choices are random choices, just as a test):
- Number: Nothing
- Shape: Slur
- Always Use Specified Shape
- Default Position, Tuplet, Vertical: 12pt
- Always Flat
- Bracket Full Duration
- Match Length of Hooks

2) Click on ‘Set Default’.

3) As a control I now took a look at
Document Options - Tuplets
And, lo and behold, my changes had carried over to the Document Options.

* If you redo my steps (as listed above), do you get different results?

* Or can you provide some steps I could try?

The common misunderstanding is that it saves the ratio. That it doesn't do. Only in the Simple Entry Tuplet subtool can you do that.
