Kind of a strange question, but is there a way to bind 2x_right_arrow to a key? In other words, when I press the_key, it would simulate pressing the right arrow twice. I also need 3x_right_arrow. Thanks.

Look at Keyboard Maestro. https://www.keyboardmaestro.com/main/

It could possibly be done with JW Lua.

Thanks. FInaleScript looks interesting. I'll see if I can get something going with that.

Ya, FinaleScript looks neat. I didn't even know there was such a thing. It does what I want but is worse than my current solution using Karabiner: I can't assign a single key to the script, and it's a touch slower. But I'll definitely keep it in mind for more complicated tasks.

It's both neat and maddening. Buggy and poorly documented. But when it works, it's fine.
