Hello,
I'm using Finale 25 on a MacMini. I have been using a slick little font called Cornucopia Caligrafica. What's nice about it is that it contains these interesting filigree designs for covering up leftover system space at the end of movements (this instance has me covering some dead space at the end of the Sanctus from a Tallis Mass).
What's frustrating is that when I put the design in the score and then Print/Save as PDF, the image remains in the pdf document and prints normally. When I save the Finale file and hop out of it and then open it again, the image is nowhere to be seen.
So each time I open the Finale document, I have to select the font (which has magically gone from Size 300 back to Size 12 and, therefore, impossible to see), and up the size to 300 again so it can be seen.
Is there a way to save the Finale document so that it keeps the font and the respective image imbedded into the file?
Thanks in advance.
My Finale v.25 won't save an image font

Aye, I figured it out.
Any font size for the particular text image I’m using that’s over 250, then Finale won’t save it. So I reduced it from 300 to 250 and now Finale saves it in the original file.
Trial and error, with a bunch of error.

A quick test (in F27) shows that Finale will correctly save a text object with a point size up to 255 points, but won't do so beyond that.
Looks like they've got an 8-bit limit on the point size data!
