I'm trying to run the following script on Finale 25. When I change the source directory it does not "take" - I change it, save it, even close the scripting interface, re-open, and verify the directory is the one I want, but it still uses the "old" directory as the source.

batch process folder "D:\OneDrive\Charts\Tobin"
File
Menu item "Export"
Menu item "PDF..."
File
Menu item "Close"
press arrow right
press enter

1. Is this a bug? Or is there something I'm missing?
2. Is there a way to cancel a running script? The export takes a long time

I don’t know if this has anything to do with it, but Finale 25, 26, and 27 all just use “Finale” as the folder name. If you have more than one version loaded, you might try adding the version number to your source folder and script.

Solved -

Thanks. That's not the issue though. It's using a directory that I set last weekend (for a different project) and exporting those 40+ files each time, even though the script has the right directory.

Turns out there is a setting in the Scripting Options dialog that over rides the one in the script. I changed this and it worked.
