Hi,
I was wondering why if i print a pdf with finale 26 on win 10 using cutepdf or adobe acrobat pro it does embed for example times or maestropercussion but it never embed the maestro font.
With the normal finale pdf export maestro gets embedded.
Anyway also if it does not show in embedded fonts the pdf shows ok also on computer without the maestro font installed and also on android phones...
why?

edit:
I mean also that the maestro font does not show in the used fonts in adobe acrobat properties--> fonts
but the document is ok...

why?

Can you upload an example PDF? It's unusual for a PDF generator to embed some, but not all fonts. The default is to embed all fonts (unless the fonts have a 'do not embed' flag). You can configure some PDF creators not to embed fonts.

So, i did some tests, if i open the file and print it to pdf with cutepdf or adobe and leave the DPI at 600 1200 or 2400 it lists and embed the maestro font. if I select 3600 or 4000 dpi it does not list or embed maestro font and if i go back to 600 for example without closing finale it does not list or embed maestro also at 600 dpi.
Told that the files look the same for me and probably is only a font list bug?

i am on windows 10, finale 26 (I also checked on 25)

Resolution shouldn't matter: all data from Finale is vector graphics and not pixellated.

Again, if you can supply an example PDF, then we can have a look at it.
