Tuplet subdivisions too short?

I'm trying to input standard triplets and quintuplets on a 3 line percussion staff and for some reason I keep having this issue: https://imgur.com/a/hdK8t88
in which the final 32nd note seemingly doesn't exist, so I can't input the final 16th into the tuplet. I've fixed a couple by completely clearing the bar and starting over, but I'd love to never have this issue again, and I don't know what caused it.

Speedy entry, Simple entry, or Tuplet tool? If Simple, try either deleting the rests that Finale put in, or not (just enter the notes over the rests), whatever is the opposite of what doesn't work.

It looks like you’re having the problem on the last beat. That’s a common issue.

There are a couple of ways around it. Take a look at this tutorial I wrote up:
