Easy Harmonics in Finale 27

Hello all,

Long time Finale user here, but first time poster.

Is anyone else having strange problems using Easy Harmonics in Finale 27?

The playback works fine, but instead of the square noteheads it is making large circles over the notes.

Probably another one of those things that the developers forgot to check. Apparently the new font paradigm has a lot of issues that will, hopefully, be resolved in a future update. Please report this so those updates can be made to include this issue. I will wait to get v27 until I hear that all these "oversights" are resolved.

I believe the advice being given about such things is to not use the new format and default font (Finale Maestro), but instead create your files with the old default font (Maestro).

Several of the plug-ins that add symbols - Easy Tremolos, Easy Harmonics, AlphaNotes -- don't add the correct characters for the new font.

I tried opening a new scratch document with maestro font and it does appear to fix the problem. Thank you so much. I've wasted a whole day looking for solutions when I should have just come here first.

Next question:

How do I change the font on my existing document? I just tried changing the font to "maestro 24 regular" in the document options, and every note head in the file disappeared!

Since I dare not download v27, which I have yet to deem an "upgrade", I can't advise on that. I'm glad my other suggestion worked.

Try copying the faulty doc into an F26 template.

Please send this in to tech support. They need to know just how badly they screwed up.
