Did we lose ability to import Tiff files in v27?

I like to use Finale to import tiff files and use the music recognition tool to notate the music for me (or at least give me it's best guess). I may have not discovered this yet in v27 but it looks like tiff imports are no longer supported...am I missing something in v27?

According to the v 27 user's manual, TIFF is still supported. I was also able to export a TIFF from v 26 and import it into v 27: Graphics > Place Graphic.

It sounds to me that the question is about importing a tiff and have it convert to notation. I believe 2012 was the last version that did that. They removed that feature with pressure from publishers concerned that music was illegally being scanned and converted.

They removed that feature with pressure from publishers concerned that music was illegally being scanned and converted.
Which was bogus, or Sibelius ignored it, because Sibelius can convert printed scores into Sibelius format. It includes PhotoScore Lite.
At least the last version I tried did perhaps they removed it in the latest version. Anyway there are several stand alone programs that do it and Finale can import files from them. I still think it was a bogus reason although I don't think I ever used it.

If you are serious about scanning in your music, go for one of the full versions, not the Lite. They will give you the ability to correct the scan, before exporting the XML.

Remember, as a Finale user, you can get SmartScore Pro at half price.
