Hi. I’m new to this forum, and looking for some helpful advice. I had an old (2008) version of Finale which was installed on my Macbook laptop. This laptop died. I transferred most of my files to a desktop iMac, but my Finale music files don’t open. (I have many music notation files which I was using for a book on Cook Islands contemporary music). I am about to purchase a new Mac desktop computer, and resume work on this book. I am quite happy to purchase the current version of Finale, but my query is: will my files from the 2008 version open successfully in the new version?? Also, I’m unsure about transferring the old files on my current desktop computer to the new computer.
Hope you can help

It should. Your best bet will be to download the demo, and make sure. Transfer files however is easiest (and possible) for you: Thumb drive, iCloud, CD, whatever. Even AirDrop.
