I wanted to see what things looked like if I split a measure across two systems, so I did it, splitting the measure in half. I don't want it, but I can't find a way to completely undo it. That is to say, I sort of rejoined the two halves of the measure on the screen, but when I double click with the Selection Tool on the measure, it selects only half of the measure stack.
In the attached file, the only page is the measure that is the problem; it's supposed to be just one measure, but the Selection Tool is treating it as two. Speedy Note Entry is also treating it as two measures. How can I get it to become one again?
The instructions in the manual give no information about how to undo a split measure, by the way.

Change the time signature in the first 1/2 measure to 4/4. All of the notes will go into the first measure. Select and delete the empty second measure stack. Change the barline to normal.

The easy way is to select both measures, and use the Merge Measures Plugin. At least, it seems to work for me on Windows. Maybe Mac doesn't have that Plugin.

Thanks, miker!
The bad news is that your instructions didn't work for me: I changed the time signature to 4/4, but the notes in the second half of the measure remained there. The good news is that I copied your fixed version into my score, and all is fine now.
But why is there no reasonable way to undo the split measure thing? I'll be afraid to use it in the future!

I seem to have some mysterious issue with my responses not getting posted, so I'll try again.
My response to miker was from last night before your various other responses came along, but I guess I forgot to press "submit" so only posted it this morning. And I just wrote a general response and to say the following, but though I did press "submit", it hasn't shown up. So...
Thanks for all of the help. I am happy to know about the "merge measures" plug-in now.
