Can't enter trill?

Can anyone tell me why I can't enter a trill in this document? I've tried on a couple different machines, so I'm assuming it's document specific? Thanks!

I was able to enter a trill in several spots. Where exactly does it not work for you?

I use an articulation for an unadorned trill, smart shape when I need the wavy line.
