F2014 Score Manager columns won’t expand

My voice teacher has F2014 installed on a Windows Surface machine. In his Score Manager, the major columns: Instrument, Voice, etc. are fine. But things like the Mute/Solo, Volume, and Pan are squeezed down to where you can see the first letter or so at the top of the column, but no more. I can get the cursor to position where it should expand the column, but it won’t. Going to Customize and turning those columns off and back on doesn’t help, and neither does expanding the entire window.
Any ideas?

I don't know what Windows Surface is, but try enlarging the whole window by dragging in from the left or right edges or the lower-right corner. Then perhaps you can adjust columns.

When you hover the cursor over the vertical expansion line does it change to a double arrow as it should?

It looks like it moves the right side of the column and everything to the right of that, so put it on the right of the column you're trying to change.

Yes, it does. that's why I'm flummoxed.

Interesting. On my Mac, some columns can be adjusted but others cannot.
I can move the left-side divider of: Name, M(ute), Sound, and Prg, but can't move: Instrument, S(olo), Device, Bank, Ch(annel), and X (Delete).
