When there's a long string of them like this, it's hard to tell the ledger lines from the staff lines at a quick glance and easy to get confused where the staff is.

Which is the reason why some editions have different line thickness for staff-lines and ledger lines:
Staff-lines thinner, ledger lines thicker.

Thicker ledger lines also help their visibility even if not connected.

At this point, only the ability to create complex slur shapes and control the length of ledger lines would induce me to consider "going over to the Dorico side".
