Hi all,
Where can I finger poke to extend the little vertical line at the close of 8va's? It is a little bit short.

If I understand correctly, it changes the settings for all smart shapes, but I have only used such lines for 8va anyway.

If you look carefully at the engraving by many well-known publishers you will see that the vertical line at the end is actually a dashed line with the dashes being the same length and distance apart as the ones in the horizontal part:
Note that example uses only 8 not 8va, thus avoiding unnecessary clutter.
