Hello, Finale gurus! I just downloaded the newest version (27) after being away from Finale for 15 years. It's exciting to see the changes, and I'm having a blast loading up my old music and bringing it into the present.

The problem I'm running into is that when I transferred computers, I guess only the AutoSave files survived. So I can pull those up and make changes, but then when I go to save them it won't let me save them as a musx file. Even if I choose that as the type, it still says "The ASV file already exists". If I choose to overwrite it, it saves as an ASV file.

Not the end of the world, but it would be nice to have them all as mus files. Any ideas how to convert them over?

As far as I know .asv and .mus are identical. Try copying whatever.asv to newname.mus, then open the latter in Finale and save that as whatever.musx.
