This is kind of a "First world problem" but I had a page I needed to transpose and put in the book along with other pages (this was page 1 of 4). That wasn't a problem, but the printed copy had a final double bar line that I wanted to get rid of (after this was just page 1) and I couldn't figure out how. I selected the measure and with the measure tool I selected "Normal" but that didn't change anything. I could add a measure and cover it up, but that's inelegant. Is there a way to prevent a final double bar?

Change the barline to "invisible" and add a regular barline as an expression. There should be one in the Misc. section of expressions.
Or, select Custom, and find the single barline in the shape selection window.

I tried selecting the measure, choosing the "custom" box, then selecting #87 (from the box that pops up).
I don't know if this will stay after saving or if Finale will restore the double bar or add a new ending measure.

My first guess would be that the culprit is a setting in the Document Options:Duston wrote: ↑Fri Nov 19, 2021 2:07 pm… I had a page I needed to transpose and put in the book along with other pages (this was page 1 of 4). That option, like "respect instrument ranges when copying," should be off by default, in my opinion. Is it a keyless piece, so there was no key signature change to tip you off? I saw one user who changed from oboe to English horn in a keyless piece, and not only did it insert a double bar in the oboe part, but it put a double bar in the score on every staff.

No, it's not a keyless piece, it's written for oboe (I don't play oboe) and I can't transpose by sight well enough to play that section. I just transcribed and transposed that one page so I could play it on clarinet. It switches to flute on page 2, so the rest of it isn't an issue.
