How do I commit VST voices to memory

I keep stumbling on the same sound issues every time I open my files. All of the voices in each of my banks 'forget' the effects that I have set for any particular arrangement. I wonder what has happened to my sounds since my last session and, sure enough, all of the effects have been shut off. Is there a way to get Finale to remember these settings that I seem to be missing? It's frustrating having to go back into VST every time I load up a file.
