It does this, in both TG Tools and JW Lua:

I updated to 27.1, now TG Tools Easy Harmonics works correctly, but JW Lua script "String Harmonics 4th - Sounding Pitch" still does the wrong thing like before

Finale v27 introduced SMuFL fonts.
My guess is that you are using one of the new SMuFL fonts (= the fonts whose name begins with Finale, like e. g. Finale Maestro) - right?

To work with the new SMuFL fonts the plug-ins need to be updated.

The 27.1 Update fixed the plug-ins that come with Finale v27 - including TG Tools Easy Harmonics.

However, Jari Williamson’s JW plug-ins (such as e. g. JW Lua Script) are third party plug-ins.
The JW plug-ins will not work with the SMuFL fonts until Jari updates them.

On The Other Hand, if you instead use one of the “legacy” fonts, like e. g. Maestro, then JW Lua script will work for you.

It should be relatively straightforward to change the character used in the script.

I would look through the script, and see if I can find the place where the character is specified. Then try to describe the SMuFL glyph in a compatible description.
