uneven justified margins

The full justified setting in the Text Tool doesn't always produce a smooth right margin. Is there a fix other than to adjust the tracking for that line? Example:

And why does the example show so small?

Click on the example, and you will see it at a bigger (better) size.

Thanks, Peter. But what am I doing wrong that the example is so small? This has happened previously.

And why are the fully justified right margins sometimes ragged?

In the picture above, it looks like it ignored the period.

Here's one without a period at the end.

Finale has never been good at justifying text, IME.

(I believe your examples get reduced if they are beyond a certain width, which would spoil the forum's layout.)

Thanks, BuonTempi. Then I'll just continue using tracking to even out the margins.

I wish this forum could do something about the examples being reduced. There is plenty of room available, and Notat.io has no such issues with wide examples.

FYI, you misspelled anomaly.

"Classic Finale." There's nothing to prevent you from getting the correct result, if you know what it is, and are prepared to make manual adjustments (which will need re-doing if you make any changes), even if you might reasonably expect it to be done for you.

Another of the many faults in Finale's text handling is that you don't get a live redraw when you adjust the size of a text frame. The pointer disappears completely while you drag, so you have to guess where to let go.

And "Word Wrap" as a toggle for whether you want the line broken between words (as well you might), or just in the middle of a word, without any attempt at hyphenation? Is this really a useful feature for anyone?

You might forgive this of an app from 1988 in 1988; but not over 30 years later.

Thanks RMK. Also "probably" and "misunderstanding". I'm in the middle of proofreading and clearly need a spellchecker. I'm missing InDesign more and more.
