I'm writing some stemless stuff that changes meter all the time (chants for church). When I split up a given "measure" in order to fit everything into systems as evenly as possible, sometimes it makes the slurs in said measure disappear. What gives?

I've never used that feature, never even heard of it before, but it seems like a bug. Instead of split points, you could use the split measure plug-in, which splits it into two separate measures, hiding the barline and the time signatures. It's less automatic, but slurs work.
