Hello,

I have a problem with the attached file which is for four trombones.

I want to change the first trombone into a horn part. When I change the instrument in the score manager, the transposition goes down instead of up and is therefore one octave too low.

In addition, if I even try to just change the first trombone to a euphonium the same problem occurs, it drops down an octave.

If I delete the last measure, the problem goes away and the behavior of the transpositions returns to normal.

Can someone identify the problem in this file?

Thanks very much.

I'm not sure why that would be. Is original trombone transposition set to "none"? Works OK for me. I'm afraid I can't open your file because it uses a font I don't have.

Though I can't see the notes in your file, I can tell that transposition is working correctly when I switch to "F, up P5", so I'm not sure what you're doing wrong.

Circled below is the setting that is transposing incorrectly (octave too low), and when I delete the last measure in the original attached file this problem disappears entirely.

Your picture doesn't show what the transposition is.

Does the file posted above exhibit this problem?

I don't have your problem doing it how you're doing it, but I have an earlier version. Instead, try doing it this way. You'll have to change the staff names and sounds individually, though.
