dotted quarter rest

Why is the dot so far from the quarter rest compared to the other notes and rests? And is there anything one can do about it globally?

I think the following settings in JW Change will do the trick.

I haven't tried but the manual shows that under "Document" then "Document Options" and finally "Augmentation Dots" there is a way to change the position of all dots on notes and rests.

For a single note (and I guess rest), one can use "Special Tools" and "Dot Tool."
