For whatever reason, Finale is refusing to adhere to my new tempo indication at bar #29. In this case it's supposed to be Andante, but I put Larghissimo just to make it obvious that it doesn't matter; whatever tempo mark I put there, it's ignored. I've tried export/import xml, tried select all - clear selected items -- midi.......no dice. What am I overlooking, or is this just a Finale quirk? btw: also tried placing the mark before that bar, and it WORKS....but as soon as it hits bar #29, it's gone.

It's a Human Playback bug; it doesn't seem to see tempo changes right after a fermata. To fix it you have to change the definition of the tempo mark and its assignment (be sure to look at all the fields below carefully). If you plan to use the tempo mark elsewhere, make a duplicate and edit that.

Thank you.....I seem to recall a similar thing happening previously, though slightly different....how exactly should I adjust the settings you indicate?

Motet, I modified the settings as you indicated, and bingo, now it will honor the new tempo mark.....but for whatever reason it also knocks out the articulations.....then I realized I had turned HP off; when I turned it back on everything is fine. Thanks!
