Greetings all. I'm using Finale v.25 for Macs (OS 12.0.1). Does anybody know how to force Finale's scroll bars to stay visible? The specific problem is my horizontal scrollbar, which won't appear with the mouse I'm using, which is a KINESIS DXT2 Ergonomic Vertical Mouse (RF Wireless). The horizontal scrollbar works with the mouse which came with my Mac, but I can't use that one due to ergonomic issues. I CAN get the vertical mouse to work if I hold down shift. Also, I've just started using a new computer, and downloaded Finale fresh, rather than migrating it over. The vertical mouse worked on the old computer, using the same version of Finale, which leads me to believe that there is a setting that I used at one point to make the horizontal scrollbar appear on the old computer as well. Thanks!

As a side note, I would encourage everyone to looking into getting a vertical mouse. It is the design that should have been used from the beginning of the computer age. It is a natural position for the hand, and avoids carpal tunnel and other such issue. There are many brands, shapes, and sizes (albeit the same basic design of being vertical), so you do need to shop around and do your homework, be prepared to return ones that aren't a good fit. There are right hand and left hand versions (some, like the one I use, on which you can switch back and forth), and wired or wireless. Years ago, and ergonomic specialist where I work recommended it for me, and I've been using one at work and home ever since.

Take a good look in Mac OS System Preferences, in the pane General.
I think that there is a setting for showing the scroll bars.

According to MakeMusic, Finale 25 is compatible with MacOs 10.10-10.14, no mention of MacOs 12...

So, problems can be expected.
