No sound on playback after changing Garritan to NP3

I use NP3 for almost everything; Garritan for the Stenway piano specifically. I just dragged out an old piece from before I got NP3, changed the flute to NP3, now there's no playback at all. I tried "reassign sounds," to no avail. I sort of remember this issue coming up for people, but it's been years, so.....refresher/reminder, please? I know it's simple, just don't remember. Thanks!
