I am trying to create custom dynamics (like ffffp) but it's typing it as regular font and not dynamic font- (strange because I have the maestro music font selected) does anyone know how I can fix it so it does the dynamic font? Thank you!

Duplicate and edit an existing dynamic?

Duplicating and editing is what I do, but if you Create, after picking the font, don't click in the text box--just start typing.

Are you using Finale 27? Is this a SMuFL document? If so, use the character chooser to select the correct character. You can't use "p" and "f", because those aren't the correct characters in Finale Maestro for dynamics.
