Hi all!
I'm new at doing Tabs -- as in, this is my first time. I set it up, and it was going well, until I stopped to get something to eat. Then when I came back, I can't seem to input tabs correctly now. I don't know what I did, what setting I must have hit, or whatever. I'm hoping you all can figure out where I'm messing up.
In the pic I've uploaded, note that ms. 16 is correct. I input the notes, dragged the notes down to the tab staff, and specified that the lowest fret should be "3". Then when I did the same with the next measure, specifying that the lowest fret should be 3, it's giving me "-5s" and "-8s" for notes that are basically in the same range as the measure before.
I'm so confused. Any ideas what happened between measure 16 and measure 17, other than I shouldn't have gone to the kitchen to make a sandwich?

Oh! I noticed my software signature is slightly out of date. I'm running OS 10.11, and I'm on Finale 2014.5.
Thank you!

In case you didn't figure it out, the second measure is off by an octave. You can select that measure and transpose up an octave and it will look fine.

The culprit (most likely):
Preferences - Edit
make sure that the option
{Respect Instrument Ranges when Copying or Changing Instruments}
is de-selected.
