There are over 100 free plug-ins in the form of Lua scripts which do all sorts of useful things. JW Lua, which runs Lua scripts, hasn't been updated in some years, but fortunately Robert Patterson has picked up the ball and written his own version, RGP Lua, for 64-bit versions of Finale.

The redoubtable Jason Loffredo has created an overview video, including instructions on how to install Lua and download plug-ins:

Does redoubtable mean I should doubt him not once, but twice?

Illustrious, eminent.

You can see a list of available Lua scripts here: https://www.finalelua.com/

Some or even most seem to be simplified repeats of already available JW or other plug-ins we have been using for some time now.
Finale 27.3 should be of great, at least more, interest to plug-in users.

I have used many .lua plugins that can be found on various sites (including one from France), and they have helped with a lot of tasks. Very very useful.
