I am interested in using the QWERTY keyboard to specify note pitches and durations but when I look for the information it seems to be all about dictation, which I assume is speaking into the microphone to specify these things or something.

Can somebody tell me where I can find this information?

Thank you for your help.

In Simple Entry you use the number pad to set the duration, then the letters A-G enter a note at the specified pitch, and + and - for sharps and flat. There are other keystrokes to change octaves.

The manual does seem to spend time telling you to move the caret up and down with the arrow keys, which is inane. The A-G method must be documented somewhere; hopefully someone will be along who knows.
