I have no idea about the skill of their programmers, but their are serious bugs that don't get fixed.

MM has good programmers.
I don't think so. I think they may have one or so on staff and hire the rest out. I believe this is why we don't see more bug swats, IMHO.
The addition of the "new feature" file sharing could be done as a module, even the smufl fonts. Not really inside Finale.
I think you have no basis upon which to make a judgment like this about their programmers. And I think you need to be more precise about your terms; why would file sharing be built into Finale as a module? What do you mean by "module?" Do you mean a section of code that can be reused elsewhere? And why would sharing be more useful that way rather than as implemented? I have no idea why going against the current paradigm of how fonts are loaded and selected (which are at least partially dictated by the APIs within the OS; in your case, windows, in my case, macOS) would be desirable or an enhancement.

If you're a programmer or have a programming background, feel free to chime in with precise guidance and language. Otherwise, I'm not sure your response is meaningful other than kvetching about your own perceived grievances against MM programmers. And it's also confusing; you have consistently indicated that F27.x is the "best" version of Finale ever so why would you do that if you think their programmers are third-rate?

When it asks me whether I want to save, and I'm not sure it has been changed, I go up into the edit menu and check to see if there's anything to undo. Not that this isn't a time waster as well, but at least I can exit with impunity if nothing has been changed after opening the file.

TBH, that's not a bad idea. Thanks. I and others just wish the application were smart enough to check that on its own.

I think you have no basis upon which to make a judgment like this ...
You take lot for granted and read a lot into my posts. You have no idea of my association or background with MM. And my friend, I don't care to share it with you.
... you think their programmers are third-rate?
Hmm, really! I don't believe I made any reference to their ability. And, my friend, Finale 27.2 is the best Finale ever!

Stop gaslighting. You took the effort to specifically respond to my comment that MM has good programmers by literally saying “I don’t think so.” So which is it: Finale 27 is the best ever (in your words) or are they hiring subpar programmers? Stop misrepresenting what I have said.

I think we are done here. This has gotten far off the topic.

I don't think I can do it. I looked in my Moderator Control Panel, and don't see the option. I've forwarded this to admin.

Just requesting a "that'll do" from you. Perhaps it's already over, though.
