I know I did it. I was able to insert a hand clap into a normal notation staff.
BUT I DON'T REMEMBER HOW!!
Can anyone help? I use MIDI playback, no Aria or Garritan sounds installed. If necessary, I'll go back to the wood block, but I'd really like to know.
Thanks.

In World Percussion there is a hand clap on the D in the middle of the bass clef. (MIDI 50)

I can direct you to a free clap machine plug-in that is compatible with Finale. It lets you choose from a variety of clap sounds to best suit your music.
