Thanks, I did try all of these after seeing this, but none worked. I sent a tech support request to Make Music so maybe they can determine what's up with it.

I tried that, and if I "run script," it will wait, and then act. But just executing the script on the piece, it will wait for me to click OK.

On the finale script Pallete window that opens up, one of the options is "run script." If I click on that, it will run the script all the way through-- obey the "wait" instruction, and then complete the process. Whereas if I just open up finale script from the plug-in tool, select my script and try to run it, that's where it will wait for me to "click ok." Hope that's clear.

Sorry I was trying to make it clear and I guess it was confusing. The process is on a hotkey. The hot key opens up plugins, then finale script, then selects my script which is on top, leaving me with the note duration window open at 50%. As we know, it won't do the last step, which is to complete the function by clicking "ok."

You don't need to use the TG Tools menu shortcut for this, and that may be the source of your troubles. Instead, edit your FinaleScript script and click the button that says "Select" next to Use Shortcut and pick a shortcut. Then use that to run your script. Get rid of the TG Tools shortcut if it's the same.

Excellent. I tried this on a "default document" and it worked perfectly. But trying it on my regular piece I'm working on, I cannot get the Finale Script menu to open....it's all grayed out. I selected individual bars, all bars, nothing. I cannot remember how to open the Finale Script Pallette window. (manual was no help.)

Yes! That was the problem.....and I would supposed in general, it will be the score I'm going to be doing this on primarily, so that's fine. Thanks as always.
My next project will be automating a routine I do all the time: Save As to Dropbox, OneDrive, then Desktop. I'll try to apply what you did with this other thing, but since it's three repeated procedures, maybe not.....I'll give it a shot. Jason with CF already told me that Finale Script is the least desirable option, but he's a MAC guy so won't be doing any Keyboard Maestro-type video.
