I am trying to facilitate entering a ton of bowing marks, in multiple parts, and opening and closing the Articulation Selection menu each time seems really unnecessary. But I cannot even shorten the process by specifying which mark I want with a specific keystroke (U or D in the articulation menu) without the Selection Menu appearing each time I click on a note. This obviously eliminates any advantage that might have accrued.

Did I miss a setting somewhere? Is there a plug in, or a "better way" I might use? Is there a way to cut and paste?

in the articulation tool, hold down the D key and click on the note for down-bow, U for up-bow. These are "metatools" and are defined for other tools (e.g. Expression) as well. A big time saver.

Select the Articulation tool, press "u" on the keyboard, then click on a note and the upbow articulation appears. To get the downbow marking press "d". I believe this is the default setting.

Oh very cool! I was doing everything out of order. Thanks for the quick response. I will explore other metatools as well!
