Articulation Designer for Guitar Chords

I have never tried to use the Finale guitar chords. I could just as well write in all of the notes except getting the strumming is very difficult because of the timing of the string attacks.

I got some information on line which mentioned an Articulation Designer. After selecting the articulation designer under tools, It starts out in the middle with numerous options.

I want the available pitches on the guitar staff in a vertical pile and strummed when played back. This is a daunting goal.

I don't know or care about the many other options, at least until I get this much.

How can I get a started on this?

If you want the playback correct, you will have to enter the chords manually. Finale's chord playback is poorly voiced, in most cases.

If I misunderstand, maybe you could show us a drawing of what you have in mind.

I don't mind entering the chord name and duration if I come to know how, but I would like the playback to be strumming rather than all the notes in the chord beginning and ending at the same time.

Use the arpeggio articulation. I think you can adjust the duration of the strum, but I don’t how to tell you.

Building chords is pretty easy. On a desktop, enter the first note, and then use the number row to add intervals. For example, C-E-G-C would be C-3-3-4. You could sharp, flat, or natural the notes as you go, with +, -, or n.

A laptop works the same way, although you would have to look at the Laptop Shortcut set or the manual for the commands.
