Hello,

I was working on my finale project with my teacher. I airdroped my file to her computer and she has a slightly updated version. When she airdoped it back to me and I opened it I got a compatibility issue (not uncommon) and then when it opened I got question marks everywhere.

How do I go about fixing this?

This is a font issue. We would need to know what version of Finale your teacher has and what you have.

You could also try shutting down your computer and restarting.

The question marks are simply showing no coinciding figure in the selection font. Does your teacher use a PC and you have a Mac?

If your teacher has Finale 27 and redid the file with the new FinaleMaestro font, the font will not be recognized by a previous version.

So maybe the fix is to open the file and go to Document Menu>Default Music Font and reset to the old Maestro font?

Assuming the teacher is using 27 she would have to make that change, right?

Or maybe he could post his file here and someone with 27 could try loading the old font.
