I want to copy chords from one section (or verse) to another. This is a very common task in making a lead sheet, but I cannot figure out how to do it.

Finale help says to choose the selection tool (arrow), go to Edit, and select Edit Filter | Chords. There is no Edit Filter choice. (And, of course, no Help would show a picture.)

I can't believe this is hard, but I continually enter chords verse after verse and chorus after chorus. In the context of a musical or album, that is a LOT of extra work. Please help.

Thank you!

konradh,

According to your forum profile (shown to the right of your posts) you are using PrintMusic.

I could be wrong, but I think that the Copy Filter option of {copying chord symbols} is “full Finale only”.

Thanks very much.

I am happy to upgrade to full Finale--there is a deal right now--but I had hoped there was some kind of temporary solution.

My studio machine is Win 8 for physical controller compatibility, but the time has come to get Win 10 which I will need for full finale.

Peter is correct. You don't have that tool in PM.
