I was able to hide the cue notes in the score following the Finale instruction. However, the texts are still showing. How do I get rid of them? Thank you!

In the definition of the staff style, uncheck the box Show : Expressions.

You could also assign the text expressions to parts only. Just right-click the expression, select "Edit Expression Assignment" and then "Show On: Part(s) Only".

Another solution is my Perfect Layout plug-in.
It automatically hides the cue notes, clefs, smartshapes and cue texts.
