How to remove red line in lyrics

I am setting a hymn tune in Verse/Refrain form. I typed the Refrain with the verse 1 words. When I went to verse 2 a red line appears because there is not text because of the repeated words of the refrain. Is there and easy way to remove the red lines?
I believe you are speaking about word extensions. Very easy to eliminate:
Document Options (ctrl-alt-A)
Choose Lyrics
Word Extensions (bottom right radio button)
Uncheck Use Smart Word Extensions
Click Okay
Click Okay in Document Options box.

You also can delete them individually. In the menu, select Edit Word Extensions. A handle appears at the end of the red line. Select it and delete.
When you are done, in the menu, re-select Type into Score.
