How can I write a scale in several octaves with quarter notes without showing barlines and only showing the clef? How can I avoid the barlines in the system as in Figure attached? I'm using Finale v.25.5 for Mac.

In a case like this, if you have JW Meter and Rhythm you can over-fill a measure and then create a time signature based on the contents.

One more way: Select the measure(s) -> right-click -> edit measure attributes -> barlines -> invisible. Done

A problem will be that there will be extra gaps where the invisible barlines normally would appear.

The plug-in JW Conceal Barlines will remove the space.

Since this Finale document does not contain anything but the scale(s), you could go to
Document Options - Notes & Rests
and set the Spacing Before Music to zero (and set the Spacing After Music to zero).

Then the scale will begin right after the Clef/Key Signature/Time Signature, but you can use the Measure Attributes to add extra space at the beginning of that first measure.

Two more options -

Option 1:
Select the measure you wish to edit.
Press "return" or "enter" to bring up the measure attributes dialog box.
Check "Evenly across measure" - and press "ok".
Enter your notes - all notes must be the same rhythmic value for the equal spacing. You can't mix rhythmic values with this option.

This will space all entries evenly through the measure, regardless of any time signature. I use this all the time for theory worksheets and music examples for Google Slides, PPT, etc.

Option 2:
This option will allow different rhythmic values in your example measure.
Select the measure - press "return" to show measure attributes dialog box.
Check "Evenly across measure".
Select "According to time signature" in the Position Notes popup.
Enter the first note into the measure.
Depending on what this note is - add a second note that, when added to the first note equals a whole note.
Press "h" (in Speedy Note tool) to make this second note non-printing.
Example: first note = quarter, make second note a hidden dotted half, etc. If smaller notes are desired, use multiple hidden notes to add up to whole note.
