Can you Windows users please see if you can enter a hard (nonbreaking) hyphen in lyrics? I'm trying to help a friend with F27 We couldn't do it from the Text menu or with Insert Symbol. We followed all the instructions in the Help files, and whatever I could find on line, but nothing works. (It works fine on my Mac.)
Yes, I know it's an en dash, not a hyphen, but that's actually what she needs. We couldn't get either an en or an em dash.
She has sent it into tech support.

There should be "Insert hard hyphen" on the Text menu.

Is the font set to the Finale Lyrics font? As you see, it worked for me, but I have an older version. Perhaps they broke it. Maybe someone with the latest version will try it.

Nothing to do with inserting a hard hyphen, I think. That setting in document options is apparently only relative to a hyphen at the end of a system.
