If I make a tuplet for 6 sixteenth notes it only lets me enter 5 and then the last one is a 32nd note or it always tries to force a 32nd note rest, how do I fix this?

Welcome to the forum!

Just guessing:

- You are entering music with the Simple Entry Tool - right?

- You are trying to end a measure with a tuplet - right?

- In the Simple Entry Options you have {Check for Extra Notes} selected - right?

You may find Mike Rosen’s tutorial “Tuplets with Simple Entry” useful:

If you're using mouse entry, don't delete the rests that Finale creates when you define the tuplet--click on top of the rests where you want the note.
